YEN-D Program was initiated in 2015 by the Department of Foreign Trade (DFT), Ministry of Commerce in cooperation with Thmamasat Business School (TBS), Thammasat University.
The program, Young Entrepreneur Network Development Program (YEN-D) aims to connect young successful entrepreneurs in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand (CLMVT) plus Malaysia, Indonesia and India in order to establish a firmed relationship before trusted business collaboration under the philosophy of “Relationship Leads Business ”.
With strong relationships and business connections of the young, talented business leader of ASIA, it’ s firmly believed that this phenomenon brings fruitful resources and creative ideas to energize one of the world' s most attractive regional economic zone and all together make it sustainable prosperity. In addition, the program also equips participants with frameworks and essential tools for their business strategy formulation in the digital era.
On March 14, 2018, the Young Entrepreneur Network Development Association (YEN-D Myanmar) was officially launched and registered on December 28, 2018, as an independent nongovernmental organisation (NGO)
YEN-D Myanmar was Integrated with the knowledge, skills, and network gained from the YEN-D program in Thailand, Myanmar entrepreneurs who are alumni of the YEN-D program have reached the decision to establish the YEN-D Myanmar Association, aiming to facilitate a platform between other Myanmar entrepreneurs and ASEAN, and the Global Business Community.
It is a national initiative that is delivered from the entrepreneurs to the entrepreneurs in a professional setting, starting with a regional outreach towards worldwide entrepreneurship advancements. We currently have 1400 networks worldwide, of which 100 are from Myanmar.
Entrepreneurship is a catalyst for growth and innovation, and thus, entrepreneurs play an essential role in a country ’ s economic development. The YEN-D Myanmar Association will become an essential place where all entrepreneurs can seek learning and networking opportunities, share experiences, develop leadership skills, grow expertise, and turn into people who can make a mark on their professional pathway successfully.
To empower all entrepreneurs to achieve a new chapter of growth in their innovation and entrepreneurship development.
